OUR STORY
After running successful trips around the world for years at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Luke McLellan, a teacher by trade, began McLellan Adventure Travel. As interest grew within the local community, Luke saw an opportunity in 2018 to curate and run exciting new travel opportunities to various locations around the globe.
The true joy for Luke rests in assembling fantastic groups of people to take to bucket list locations. Nothing is a greater testament to this more than the frequent gatherings of the former groups after the trip concludes. Lifelong friendships are forged.
Now several years into this endeavor, Luke and his staff have run successful trips to Nepal (Everest Base Camp trek), Tanzania (Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb followed by safari), India (Delhi and Agra), Scotland (West High Land Way Trek), Egypt, Peru (Inca Trail), Switzerland (Haute Route), France, and Japan.

Who we are
McLellan Adventure Travel is a team dedicated to creating well-organized and meaningful group travel experiences. Founded by Luke McLellan, the company is built on years of experience leading trips around the world and a commitment to delivering journeys that are both seamless and memorable.
With a background in guiding groups through a wide range of destinations, the team focuses on thoughtful planning and careful execution. From trekking routes like Everest Base Camp and the Inca Trail to exploring destinations across Europe, Africa, and Asia, each trip is designed with attention to detail and a clear sense of purpose.
At the center of every journey is the group itself. McLellan Adventure Travel brings together individuals who share an interest in exploration, creating an environment where connections form naturally along the way. By handling the logistics and structure of each trip, the team allows travelers to fully engage in the experience.
The result is a collection of journeys that go beyond the destinations themselves—defined by shared experiences, strong organization, and lasting connections.
