Overview
This trip pairs a week-long private catamaran sailing along Southern Italy's most iconic coastline with a guided tour through the country's classic cities. It begins in Naples, then sets sail Saturday-to-Saturday from Salerno, tracing cliffside villages, hidden coves, and legendary islands: the postcard glamour of Positano, the colorful calm of Procida, the volcanic landscapes of Ischia, time in Sorrento, the drama of Capri, and a final swim stop at Capo Conca Bay before an evening in Amalfi and the return to Salerno.
After a week on the water, the trip continues by land with a guided visit to Pompeii before heading north through Rome, Florence, and Venice — blending ancient ruins, Vatican highlights, Renaissance art, and lagoon charm into one continuous journey. Travel between cities is by private bus or train.
Private catamaran sailing, crew (skipper and host), select meals, private bus transfers between cities, and hotel accommodations are included. International airfare, personal expenses, travel insurance, arrival airport transfer, and gratuity are not included. For travelers who don't want the full 17 days, three shorter package options combine different pieces of the trip — sailing plus Pompeii and Rome, sailing only, or the classic cities by land only — each with its own dates and price.

Day 6 — Sorrento to Capri (June 23)
Anchor near Marina Piccola for views of the Faraglioni sea stacks, then spend the afternoon boutique browsing, a coastal walk or chairlift, and an aperitivo. Sea conditions permitting, visit the Blue Grotto area before an evening in Capri.
